Universities
Seven universities with maritime STEM innovation and entrepreneurship programmes
Six universities transform into entrepreneurial, engaged institutions, mentored by the University of Strathclyde, a former EIT HEI beneficiary.

The University of Piraeus is a Greek public university with a strong orientation towards economics, business, technology, international studies and maritime activities. Located in Piraeus, one of the Mediterranean’s major maritime centres, the University combines academic education with applied research and cooperation with industry and public-sector organisations. Research and innovation activities are supported through the University of Piraeus Research Center (UPRC). The Intelligent Shipping and Transport Systems Laboratory (ISTS Lab), overseen by UPRC, is a research laboratory within the Department of Maritime Studies, formed through the merger of the Quantitative Analysis in Shipping Laboratory and the Transport Economics Laboratory. ISTS Lab brings together an interdisciplinary team of academic staff, researchers and technical specialists working on shipping, ports, intermodal transport, logistics and infrastructure systems. It applies quantitative, economic and technology-enabled methods to support safer, more efficient, sustainable and resilient transport systems.
