Cookie Policy
Version 0.2 – 04/11/2026. Updated to reflect the use of Google Analytics 4 with consent and the cookie banner.
This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies are used on entreblue.eu, the website of the ENTREBLUE project, and how you can control them. It complements our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. They are used to make websites work, to remember your preferences or to measure how a website is used.
Your consent
When you first visit the website, a cookie banner lets you choose Accept all, Essential only or Preferences. Statistics cookies are set only if you accept them. Your choice is stored in a cookie (cmplz_*) for 365 days so that the banner is not shown again. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time through the Manage consent button in the bottom corner of every page.
Which cookies this website uses
Strictly necessary cookies
These are required for the website to function and do not need your consent.
- Consent management (Complianz) – cookies cmplz_consented_services, cmplz_functional, cmplz_marketing, cmplz_statistics, cmplz_preferences, cmplz_policy_id and cmplz_banner-status store the choices you made in the cookie banner (365 days).
- WordPress – a test cookie (wordpress_test_cookie) to check that your browser accepts cookies, and session cookies (wordpress_logged_in_*, wp-settings-*) that are set only for editors who log in to manage the website. Ordinary visitors do not receive them.
- Wordfence (website security) – may set a cookie (wfwaf-authcookie-*) for logged-in users only, to protect the administration area.
Statistics cookies (only with your consent)
We use Google Analytics 4, connected through the Google Site Kit plugin, to count visits and understand which pages are read, so that we can improve the website and report on the project’s outreach. Google Analytics runs in Consent Mode: until you accept statistics cookies, no analytics cookies are set and no identifier is stored on your device. IP addresses are truncated by Google Analytics 4 by default.
- _ga – distinguishes visitors (2 years).
- _ga_* – keeps the session state (2 years).

More information: Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses data from Google Analytics. You can also opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Preference and marketing cookies
None. This website does not use advertising or social-media tracking cookies. The contact form and the newsletter form do not set cookies.
Third-party content
- Map on the Partners page – the interactive map loads map images from OpenStreetMap. OpenStreetMap servers receive your IP address when the map is displayed. No cookies are set.
- Fonts – the fonts used on this website are hosted on our own server; no requests are sent to Google Fonts.
How to control cookies
Use the Manage consent button on any page to change your choice. You can also delete or block cookies at any time through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect the functioning of the website’s administration area, but does not affect your use of the public pages. Instructions for the most common browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.
